HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Marion County Collector’s office is receiving applications for the senior citizens’ property tax freeze as authorized by the Missouri Legislature in Senate Bill 190 in the 2023 session and Senate Bill 756 in the 2024 session.

However, because of a printing error, the form shows a deadline date of Oct. 1.  The collector has not yet set a final date for securing the baseline year’s application. Seniors applying for the tax freeze should ignore the Oct. 1 date.
