Grant from Riedel Foundation to help Hannibal Kiwanis Club buy coats, shoes for Hannibal students
HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Kiwanis Club recently was awarded a $3,000 grant from the Riedel Foundation to buy coats and shoes for Hannibal students in need. This is the 39th year for the program.
The George H. Riedel Foundation works with non-profit organizations in Hannibal to make Hannibal a better place to live and raise a family.
To be eligible for funding, applicants must be registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and the grant must primarily benefit residents of Hannibal.
To date, the Riedel Foundation has awarded nearly $6 million in grants. Those funds have helped feed hungry senior citizens, combat homelessness, provide books and bike helmets to children, allow the arts to flourish, promote tourism, support the local university and provide scholarships to students.
