50 Years: Kim and Monica (Buswell) Fleer
Kim and Monica (Buswell) Fleer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children: Nathan and Jess Fleer of Quincy, Gabe and Amber Fleer of Willard (MO), Hannah and Jim Abbott of Columbia (MO), Zach and Maren Fleer of Ashland (MO).
Kim and Monica were married in Lewistown, MO, September 1974, in a ceremony performed by Rev. John Castle from Mt. Pleasant Baptist, Steffenville, MO. Maid of honor was Shelley (Buswell) Moeller, sister of the bride. Best man was Thomas Fleer, brother of the groom. Junior attendants were Darrin and Jarrod Buswell, brothers of the bride, Ronda Walter, cousin of the bride. Music was performed by Bev Ritter, a friend of the couple. All the dresses were designed and sewn by Frankie Irene Walter, aunt of the bride.
Kim retired after 35 years at Hollister-Whitney Elevator (Quincy) and Monica 23 years at Lewis County C-1 (Ewing). They spend retirement enjoying good health, spending time with family, working on the ranch, volunteering in the community, reading, supporting the arts, and serving their church. They especially enjoy traveling on trips planned with their children and grandchildren.
The couple would like to thank their four children, daughters-in-law, 13 grandchildren and dear friends that created a beautiful celebration. Thanks, also, to the friends and family who attended.
