HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal Regional Auxiliary will hold its 10th annual Glitz Gala Jewelry Auction Thursday at the Hannibal Arts Council.

Officially sponsored by the Century 21 Broughton Team, this evening benefits the Hannibal Regional Auxiliary. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the live auction begins at 6 p.m.

In addition to 39 pieces of jewelry, this year’s event will also feature experiences up for auction. One of the highlights is a six-night, seven-day getaway to Costa Rica donated by Joe Anderson and Wesley Yargus. This exclusive prize, valued at $2,100, includes two dinners for four at local restaurants and a guided horseback tour to a secret waterfall.

Other exciting experiences include a girlfriend getaway for four, a couples’ night out, a year of monthly flower arrangements from Griffen’s Floral Studio and an authentic German dinner and Gemütlichkeit for six people.

Tickets for the Glitz Gala are $25 each, which includes appetizers and wine. Tickets can be bought by calling 573-248-5651. Tickets also are available at Judy’s Boutique, inside Hannibal Regional Hospital, and at The Caring Cup at Hannibal Regional Medical Group. Guests can enjoy appetizers and sip on a glass of wine while previewing the jewelry pieces before the bidding starts.

All proceeds from the Glitz Gala directly support the Hannibal Regional Auxiliary’s pledge to the Building Better Tomorrows campaign, which is dedicated to helping Hannibal Regional increase surgical capacity, expand critical care areas and invest in updated delivery rooms.
