Quincy man in Adams County Jail after allegedly threatening someone with knife near Eighth and Lind

QUINCY — A Quincy man is in the Adams County Jail after allegedly threatening someone with a knife.

Officers with the Quincy Police Department responded at 4:11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, to a disturbance at Eighth and Lind. During the investigation, it was learned that Alfonzo Jackson, 44, had pulled a knife and threatened another person. Jackson fled from the scene as officers arrived and was taken into custody near Seventh and Lind. A report from the Quincy Police Department said Jackson gave a fake name to officers.

Jackson was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and obstructing identification.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
