Shriver returning as temporary anchor on ‘KHQA This Morning’

QUINCY — Melissa Shriver, former morning show anchor, is returning as a temporary anchor on weekday mornings on “KHQA This Morning” on KHQA Channel 7. 

Shriver is filling in for Paula McKenna, who has temporarily moved to anchoring the evening newscast. Shriver previously was the co-host of “KHQA This Morning” with Tegan Orpet in Quincy.

“I’m excited to be back among friends and my work family at KHQA,” Shriver said in a press release. “I’m going to enjoy doing the job I love and meeting new people along the way. I have to go back on my oath to never again wear mascara, but that’s a small price to pay for an opportunity to serve the Tri-States again.”

“We’re happy to welcome Melissa back,” Station Manager Tige Jones said. “Her presence is always a bright spot on our team, and we are excited about the energy she brings to the show.”
