QUINCY — Ray Burke returns to Quincy for the ‘Those who Rock the Dock’ performances at 7 p.m. on Nov. 8-9.

Bands set to play over the weekend are The Hyland Church Band, Smokin Crawdads and Humanity Street Unplugged, Burke’s record with guest musicians. Forever will be reuniting to headline on Saturday, Nov. 9.

This is the third reunion show for the band Forever. Burke, the bass guitarist, expressed his excitement.

“It feels great. This will be the third time that I have done this, and every time it’s been a lot of fun,” said Burke. “These days it’s so hard to get people to come together, but we have been able to get people to come out and share in not only music but memories.”

Forever was formed in 1979-80. Members playing are Jack Emrick, Pat Rolens, Ray Burke and Brett Meyers. They had a record deal and opened for bands, Tesla and Nazareth. Burke said he hopes original members not playing, Steve McCarley and Kevin Tanner, will be in attendance.

“There’s some really good musicians playing,” said Burke. “This show is going to be really special.”

Burke is playing with a couple of cover bands and the Hyland Church Band. Members are Hyland Church, Burke and Dustin Cunningham. They will play on both nights of the event.

“We are working on a record right now. It’s turning out really well,” Burke said. “There will be some original music as well as covers that people may know.”

Tickets are available at The Dock and Harrison Pub. An auction for signed memorabilia will be held Friday night.
