MRN wants you to “Clean Up Your Act”
“Clean Up Your Act” is a new monthly engaging segment for your entertainment brought to you by Autoshine Car Wash, with two locations at 529 N. 48th Street and 2500 Broadway, Quincy.
What is it?
Our Muddy Buddy crew will be selecting one positive comment and one … not-so-positive comment from our Facebook page every month. The positive comment gets a free car wash from Autoshine and the … other … gets to be publicly admonished with the Shame Shame Bell.
It’s all in good fun and a reminder that what you write in that comment section is visible to our 25,000+ local Facebook following. Muddy River News loves the engagement and, as always, thank you for watching, reading and supporting your local news.
This month’s best comment award goes to Robert Turek for his comment where we asked what you think the potential “new Gems” baseball name should be. Robert provided us with a well-written idea that was both humorous and thought out. It was so great that we asked him if we could run it as a Letter to the Editor piece. Those are the kind of comments that really knock it out of the park (Yay, baseball!).
The comment that needs to “clean up their act” stems from a one car accident that happened outside of city hall Monday night. No life-threatening injuries occurred.
Greg Ragan wrote: Probably should have put a roundabout there!
He beat everyone to it as many commenters followed with roundabout jokes. So, Greg is the first to get our Shame Shame bell. Don’t worry Greg, we were thinking the same thing and had a good little chuckle when we read it.
