Adams Co. Sheriff’s deputies make sex offender arrest

ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. – On Oct. 30 and 31, The Adams County Sheriff’s Office conducted compliance checks on more than 50 registered sex offenders in the county and that led to one arrest.

John H. Wilson, 18, who lives in the 500 block of North Sixth, Quincy, was arrested Friday as he was allegedly out of compliance on a residency violation during a visit from law enforcement.

He was taken into custody without incident and is lodged in the Adams County Jail without bond pending a hearing on charges of failure to register as a sex offender.
