Week to Dream Big fundraiser to run Nov. 1-5
Quincy, Ill. – The Quincy Public Schools Foundation will host its Week to Dream Big fundraiser Nov. 1-5 to support its annual Dream Big campaign.
The kickoff will be celebrated Monday morning at Carter’s Coffee Bar as part of the Dine to Dream Big initiative, with local restaurant owners donating a percentage of their day’s proceeds to the QPS Foundation’s Campaign.
“When you give back, you become a part of a group whose dedication and generosity have a profound and immediate effect on QPS students and the community,” said Lagé Brevitz, Week to Dream Big planning committee member. “Funds from the Dream Big campaign support current and future students by creating life-changing opportunities. The funds also provide grants to outstanding QPS educators so they can provide the resources needed to empower students to achieve their goals, inside and outside the classroom, and broaden their impact on the world.”
The QPS Foundation also will fundraise during the Week to Dream Big through a virtual auction, raffle and Blue Devil merchandise. All of that may be viewed by accessing OneCause through the QPS Foundation website.
The week will conclude with a food truck festival and live-stream broadcast at Flinn Stadium on Nov. 5. Food trucks will be at the stadium from 4:30-8 p.m. A broadcast will begin streaming at 7 p.m. on Facebook and YouTube. It will include a review of select auction items, the raffle drawing and the announcement of the 2021 Dream Big award winner.
A full schedule of events, auction items and participating Dine to Dream Big restaurants will be released by Wednesday. Gifts to the Dream Big Campaign should be made to QPS Foundation and can be sent via postal mail to the Foundation office at Quincy High School or online via the Foundation’s website. Mobile device users may donate by texting “QPSF” to 44-321. Find the Foundation on Facebook at www.facebook.com/QPSFoundation or on its YouTube channel (search for “QPS Foundation”).
