Jim “Ole Man” Krutmeier — Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home
Jim “Ole Man” Krutmeier, 77, of rural Camp Point, IL, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2024, at his home.
Born September 10, 1947, in Quincy, IL, Jim was the son of Bud and Dorothy A. Dedert Krutmeier. He first married Ellen Aldridge. She preceded him in death on January 13, 1992. He later married Kimberly Egan on October 20, 2001. She survives.
Jim served his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Adams Electric Cooperative in Camp Point. Jim was an avid outdoorsman, a master gardener, and an accomplished woodworker.
Survivors in addition to his wife are his children, Brenda Allen (W. Todd), Quincy, Kelly Kane (Timothy), Quincy, Jayme Kurtmeier (Megan Allen), Clayton, IL, and Jeremiah Nichols (Tracy), Liberty, IL; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Randy Krutmeier (Jan), Quincy, and Kevin Krutmeier, Paris, MO; his sister, Tammy Newton (Mike), Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Ellen Krutmeier.
Jim was cremated. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point. Military honors will be provided at the conclusion of the visitation.
