QUINCY — Quincy’s Golden K Kiwanis Club presented a check for $5,000 on Nov. 11 to the PHAST Foundation (promoting health and service together) to support the Quincy Indoor Mountain Bike Park at 636 Jersey. The check was presented to Dr. Darin Thomas, president of Quincy PHAST, by Golden K Kiwanis president T Heberlein.

The Golden K Kiwanis support area children’s charities through annual fruitcake sales, an annual comedy night and a golf outing. In the past, funds have been provided to local children’s authors, the Quincy Children’s Museum, Quincy Montessori School, Ulmus Academy, Kiwanis Playground at Lincoln Park, Bella Ease, Gardner Camp and Sewessentials, which provides free sewing lessons to children at the Quincy Town Center.

Golden K meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 9 a.m. at the Quincy Senior Center.
