Canton man injured in deer-related crash Tuesday morning on U.S. 61 north of Palmyra

PALMYRA, Mo. — A Canton man was injured in a deer-related crash Tuesday morning on U.S. 61 north of Palmyra.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 31-year-old man from Canton was driving a 2007 Dodge Caliber south at 6:32 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 61, one-half mile north of Palmyra, when it hit a deer in the road, traveled off the right side and overturned.

The man was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department and Marion County Ambulance provided assistance.
