Two Memorial Hospital staff members receive awards at international conference in Florida
CARTHAGE, Ill. — Memorial Hospital’s Raigan Brown, chief nursing officer, and Jill Schlatter, director of diagnostic imaging, recently were selected as Summit Award winners at this year’s Custom Learning Systems Conference at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, Fla.
The Summit Award is awarded to qualified, innovative, progressive people, teams and healthcare facilities who have made progress toward improving patient experiences and staff engagement. People, teams or organizations must be nominated to be eligible.
Schlatter received the Summit Award for her role as OASIS (Organizationally Advanced Service Improvement System) team captain. She oversees the efforts and responsibilities of OASIS teams throughout the Memorial Hospital organization. These teams bring together leaders across different departments to create and implement projects focused on organizational best practices.
Brown received the Summit Award for her role as Empowering CNO. She has impacted patient care and organizational culture by fostering teamwork and building positive relationships with staff and patients.
Seven team members and three teams from Memorial Hospital were honored at the conference as Pinnacle Achievers. This award recognizes the top three to five nominees in each category, who are announced before the conference and celebrated at the event for excellence in their respective fields.
This year’s Pinnacle Achievers from Memorial Hospital were:
- Dr. Jennifer Reed as a Customer-Focused Physician
- Brad Culpepper as an Empowering Manager
- Moira Rothert as an Exceptional Employee Clinical
- Theresa Klossing as an Exceptional Implementation Coordinator
- Deana Ferrill as a Service Excellence Ambassador.
Additionally, the OASIS team was recognized for its Hire and Inspire initiative, Memorial Hospital’s Service Excellence Council for its positive impact and Memorial Hospital itself earned recognition as a Hospital of Choice.
