HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Mended Hearts Hannibal Chapter will hold the inaugural meeting of its new cardiac support group at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, in the Hannibal Regional Hospital sun room.

Mended Hearts is a nationally recognized peer-to-peer support organization dedicated to inspiring hope and improving the quality of life for heart patients and their families. Partnering with Hannibal Regional, Mended Hearts creates a safe and welcoming space where cardiac patients, survivors and caregivers can share their experiences, gain encouragement and receive support on their journey to better health.

The meeting will feature an introduction to the Mended Hearts program, personal stories from members and practical information about managing heart health. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet others who have experienced similar challenges and connect with a community that truly understands the road to recovery.

“Our goal is to empower heart patients and their loved ones,” Cindy Lynn-Drainer, Mended Hearts®chapter president, said in a press release. “This group offers the chance to connect with others, celebrate progress and navigate the unique challenges of heart disease together.”
