Ribbons to recognize MADD’s Project Red Ribbon available at local banks and credit unions
QUINCY — Project Red Ribbon kicked off in Quincy on Monday, Nov. 25. Any member of the community who wants to participate in Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s Project Red Ribbon may pick up a free red ribbon at their local bank or credit union.
In a press release, project chairman J.T. Dozier said, “The next time you cash a check or make a deposit, simply ask the teller for the location of the MADD Red Ribbons. Normally the ribbons can be found in the lobby of your bank or credit union. Ribbons are still available at City Hall and the Quincy Policy Department, but having them at banks and credit unions may make it easier for local motorists.”
Project Red Ribbon is a nationwide project of Mothers Against Drunk Driving where motorists are invited to tie a red ribbon onto the car as a visual reminder to them and to everyone to not drink and drive, especially during the holiday season. The project will run until Jan. 1.
