LA GRANGE, Mo. — Mark Twain Casino recently announced its recent fundraising campaign benefiting Toys for Tots of Northeast Missouri raised $1,430.

The fundraising initiative invited guests to participate in a match donation program where the casino matched every dollar donated in cash up to $100 in free play. Employees of Mark Twain Casino also generously donated many new, unwrapped toys.

In a press release, Ryan Lounsbury, general manager of Mark Twain Casino, said, “We are grateful for the overwhelming response from our patrons. Their generosity and willingness to support the community and the Toys for Tots Campaign represent the spirit of compassion and unity that defines our community. We are thrilled to continue this promotion to benefit our local communities. I would also like to thank our team members for going above and beyond by donating toys to make so many children smile during the holiday season.”

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

Toys for Tots of Northeast Missouri serves six counties and has collected more than 7,700 toys this year for distribution. This will help more than 550 families and more than 1,550 children in the community.
