QUINCY — John Wood Community College invites preschool through eighth grade students to a dance and cheer camp from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, in the JWCC Student Activity Center. The cost is $25 per participant and includes lunch and a commemorative T-shirt.

Themed as a vibrant carnival celebration, the camp promises an day of music, movement and fun inspired by the lively beats of Disney’s “Rio.” Participants will learn dance and cheer routines, culminating in a halftime performance during the JWCC women’s basketball game at approximately 2 p.m. The halftime show will feature the young performers showcasing their skills to Rio-themed songs.
