Janet A. Keim

Janet A. Keim, age 80, of Dyer, Indiana, passed away on 12/9/2024 in Munster, Indiana. Janet was born on November 17, 1944 in Quincy, Illinois to Roger and Thelma Keim. She was a 1962 graduate of Quincy Senior High School and a 1970 graduate of Quincy College with a B.A. in History. She was employed for 16 years at J.M. Huber Corp. and 22 years at IIT-Chicago-Kent College of Law from which she retired in 2012 as the Director of Administration & Finance. She was a St. Louis Cardinal and Duke Blue Devil fan, an avid reader and loved to do jigsaw puzzles.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, sister in law Carol Keim and great nephew, Jacob Kendall. She is survived by her brother R. Kent Keim and sister Sharon Juette (John), both of Quincy; nieces Kimberlin Smith (Garry) of Charlotte, NC, Lisa Niederhauser (Brent), of Quincy,Julie Hannant (Kevin) of Valencia, CA; nephews Greg Kendall (Monica) of Chesterfield, MO and J. Steven Kendall of Quincy and several great nieces and nephews.

Per Janet’s wishes, services were held privately. Arrangements entrusted to Elwood Funeral Chapel and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Quincy Humane Society. For more information 219-374-9300.
