City making temporary adjustments to handle utility bills, garbage stickers, payment of invoices

QUINCY — The City of Quincy will utilize its drive-thru building beginning Thursday, Dec. 19, for the payment of water and sewer utility bills, purchase of garbage stickers and payment of invoices that are issued by the treasurer’s pffice.

The drive-thru building, south of the City Hall building, is accessible from Eighth Street. Drive-thru hours will be 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The utilities department and treasurer’s office will be temporarily relocated to the lower level of City Hall beginning Thursday. Customers signing up for new water, sewer and garbage service can access the utilities department by using the east entrance on Eighth Street. The stairwell to the lower level is to the left of the entrance door. 

Visitors who require ADA-compliant accessibility should call (217) 228-4575 for arrangements to be made to safely access the building through the west entrance.

Residents and visitors who will be in the building for a short period are encouraged to utilize available street parking along Maine Street and Eighth Street.
