Two injured when Ford F-150 crosses center line, collides with Jeep on Route D in Marion County

PHILADELPHIA, Mo. — Two people suffered minor injuries after a two-vehicle collision on the evening of Thursday, Jan. 2, on Route D south of County Road 130 in Philadelphia, Mo.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a Ford F-150, driven by a 16-year-old boy from Philadelphia, Mo., crossed the center line at 6:20 p.m. and collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling in the opposite direction. The Jeep was driven by a 21-year-old man from Palmyra.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene by Robert’s Garage and Towing.

The 16-year-old driver of the Ford F-150 and a 20-year-old woman, a passenger in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, sustained minor injuries. The teen was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill. The woman was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department provided assistance.
