Thelma Conners – Hansen-Spear

Thelma Conners, age 76, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at 5:23 pm in her home.

She was born on August 4, 1948 a daughter of Rueben and Margaret Schultz Unglesbee. Thelma married Arthur Andrew Conners, Jr. on September 9, 1966 in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2023.

Thelma was employed at Motorola, and later Harris Corporation in Quincy. She owned and operated her own beauty salon. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and was also very accomplished at string art. She enjoyed bowling.

Survivors include two sons, Arthur (Angel) Conners, III of Pensacola, FL, and Kevin (Kelley) Conners of Colorado Springs, CO; eight grandchildren, Victoria (Skyler) Vipond, Eric Conners, Joseph Boyd-Conners, Hope and Kaden Conners, Kevin and Greyden Miller, and Courtney Cookson; seven great-grandchildren, Avalynne, Maverick, Dakota, Addison, Avery, Ian and Henlee; a brother, Edward “Eddie” Unglesbee of Quincy; a sister, Sherry (John) Stotler of Quincy; and a brother-in-law, Marc (Brenda) Conners of Quincy.

In addition to her husband, Art, Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Priscilla Lynn Conners, and a brother, Robert “Bobby” Unglesbee.

Visitation: 12:00 to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Service: 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Chaplain Josh Vahle officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
