Madison woman seriously injured when vehicle driven by Monroe City teen pulls into path on U.S. 24

PARIS, Mo. — A Madison woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Monroe County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened at the intersection of U.S. 24 and Missouri Route 15 in Jackson Township around 5:32 p.m.

A Chevrolet sedan driven by a 16-year-old female from Monroe City pulled into the path of a Ford SUV driven by the 62-year-old Madison woman. The Chevrolet was struck in the crash.

The Madison woman was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The 16-year-old driver of the Chevrolet and a 15-year-old male passenger from Paris sustained minor injuries. Neither were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Both were taken to nearby hospitals for further evaluation.
