Winner of Career Makeover competition to receive full tuition, fees and books; application deadline is March 11

QUINCY — John Wood Community College (JWCC) recently announced the launch of its 13th annual Career Makeover Competition, an opportunity for one person to achieve their educational and career goals. Applications are being accepted at jwcc.edu/makeover.

Adults 24 years of age or older, who are not current or recent JWCC students, are eligible to apply. The selected winner will receive a scholarship from the JWCC Foundation covering up to 64 credit hours toward a degree or certificate program, including tuition, fees and books.

“Through the Career Makeover, we empower adults to transform their lives through education,” Barb Holthaus, executive director of the JWCC Foundation, said in a press release. “This competition highlights the life-changing impact of education and underscores our commitment to community advancement.”

The application deadline is March 11. Applicants can visit the website to access contest rules, eligibility criteria and the application process. People without internet access may pick up a paper application at JWCC or WGEM.
