1. It’s Saturday, normally a day designed for a mental vacation.

But not if you’re reading The Daily Dirt today. I have 10 thoughts for you to consider while waiting for MLB spring training to begin:

• 1. Should bean bags actually be thought of as boneless sofas?
• 2. If the Earth was flat, would the edge wind up being a tourist attraction?
• 3. Searching for a new laptop online is basically forcing your current laptop to dig its own grave.
• 4. On any given day in a hospital, you can find people having the best day of their life, the worst day of their life, the first day of their life, and the last day of their life — all under one roof.
• 5. At least one of your friends vividly remembers something you once said that you have completely forgotten.
• 6. It’s likely that 99 percent of the trees you look at most days will still be here when you’re dead and gone.
• 7. This is an absolute great idea. In every Olympic event, there should be an average person compete so that we can have a point of reference and appreciate the athletes even more.
• 8. The number of people older than you never goes up. 
• 9. Should firefly be considered the opposite of waterfall?
• 10. Should a group of squid be called a squad?

3. We have another new member of the Great Plate Debate medal stand. SXYLXI, spotted in the McDonald’s parking lot at 48th and Broadway, bumped RIV’LIF off the top three in what has been a heated early going of 2024.
