Former Navy Seal from Canton to speak at Lincoln Days on Feb. 22

CANTON, Mo. — Canton native and former Navy Seal Trey Lindsey will speak Saturday, Feb. 22, at The Caldwell Building, 30200 Missouri Route 16. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

His presentation, “Achieving Your Objectives,” draws from his personal and professional experiences to inspire and equip audiences with actionable insights. Topics include leadership, resilience and navigating adversity. The evening will offer dinner by Platt Daddy BBQ.

Lindsey served more than 20 years in the U.S. Navy and 18 as a Navy Seal, with 13 of those years in the Navy Tier 1 Special Mission Unit Seal Team 6.

Throughout his time at Team 6, Lindsey held a variety of senior enlisted leadership positions. He served as a Naval Security Forces police officer with a specialty in physical security and anti-terrorism. A combat veteran, Lindsey participated in more than a dozen operational deployments oversees during Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global war on Terrorism throughout his career.

Lindsey was the recipient of several medals during his time with the Navy:

  • 3 Bronze Stars with Valor (One for a President of the United States-directed hostage rescue of an American citizen),
  • Defense Meritorious Service Medal,
  • 4 Joint Service Commendation medals with valor,
  • 3 Navy Commendation medals with valor,
  • Joint Service Achievement Medal,
  • 3 Navy Achievement medals with valor, and
  • numerous other unit and service commendation awards.

After retiring from the military in October 2022, Lindsey started his own company in the tactical training, security and defense consulting industry. He is the founder and CEO of Gallowglass Guardian Group, LLC and also the co-founder and CEO of TSG Blades, a tactical knife design company which is getting ready for its official launch.

Leveraging his extensive military experience, he has dedicated his post-military career through his company to enhance training proficiencies for law enforcement, military and civilians through security and defense consulting, tactical training courses, leadership and team building as well as communications and public speaking.

Lindsey holds a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship from American Military University, holds a commission for Louisiana POST in Richland Parish and is an adjunct instructor for the National Tactical Officer’s Association.
