Ambulance involved in accident

QUINCY — A Brown County ambulance was involved in a head-on collision on Quincy’s north side while transporting a patient to Blessing Hospital.

Just after midnight Friday morning, the ambulance was southbound near the 2600 block of North 12^th. Another car, a 2014 Ford Edge was traveling northbound when the driver hit a curb and cause the car to enter the southbound lane, where it hit the ambulance on the driver’s front side.

A patient and a paramedic in the back of the ambulance were taken to Blessing with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, but she was cited for improper lane usage.
