QUINCY — A Quincy man was arrested Thursday for his connection to a shots-fired incident in October.
Officers with the Quincy Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit and detectives with the Quincy Police Department located and arrested James D. Johnson, 33, of Quincy, in the 800 block of South 10th. Johnson is lodged in the Adams County Jail on charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm.
Officers with the Quincy Police Department responded to the 300 block of Elm Street at about 6:50 a.m. on Oct. 15 in reference to a shots-fired call. Detectives from the Quincy Police Department later arrived and began assisting with the investigation, which revealed that an area homeowner observed one female and three masked men, wearing dark clothing and backpacks, standing in his backyard. The homeowner said he followed the three males onto Elm. Once on Elm, one of the males fired several shots from a firearm into the air.
