Michael E. Alexander – Davis Funeral Home

Mr. Michael Edward Alexander, age 82, of La Grange, MO passed away, Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

He was born October 16, 1942 in Burlington, IA a son of Charles Edward and Velva Louise Davis Alexander. He married Mary Edith Lovell Rockhold on September 11, 1985. She passed away on August 19, 2002. He later married Vicki Lynn Jones Ryan on June 20, 2011 in Monticello, MO. She survives.

He loved his grandchildren, his cat Boots and loved going to the Cardinals games. He was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America and Otto Bruner Post #170 of the American Legion in Canton and he also contributed to Veteran causes. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki Alexander of LaGrange; his daughter, Beverly (Richard) Jenkins of New London, MO; step children, Tony (Toni) Ryan of Osage Beach, MO, Robin (William) Fountain of Lewistown, MO and Neil (Heather) Ryan of La Grange; grandchildren, Kiara (Andrew) Wiemelt, Elizabeth (James Keith) Rockhold, Evan (Abby) Rockhold, Dalton (Shelby) Rockhold, Ethan (Harley Kindhart) Rockhold, Erica Rockhold, Kendall (Aaron Happs) Powers, Samantha Ryan, Thomas and Jessica Fountain, Devin, Matthew, Kolton and Walker Ryan; and several great grandchildren; sister, Sherri Ruths and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary, son Jim Rockhold, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange, MO with Rev. Barry Pfister officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the Davis Funeral Home in
La Grange.

Music will be: Go Rest High on that Mountain, Amazing Grace & In the Garden.

Pallbearers will be: Richard Jenkins, Neil Ryan, Dalton Rockhold, Aaron Happs, Andrew Wiemelt and William Fountain.
