Young named Employee of the Month at SIU Center for Family Medicine

QUINCY — The SIU Center for Family Medicine recenty announced Teresa Young, medical office specialist, as the Employee of the Month for February.

In a press release, her nominator said, “Not only is Teresa willing to answer questions any time, but she also explains the answers, making it easier to understand the big picture. She is knowledgeable, easy to talk to and a valuable resource to both staff and providers.”

Reflecting on her career at SIU, Young said, “I’ve been around long enough to have seen a lot of changes, and it’s really neat to have been involved in all of them. I’ve learned a lot. SIU has given me a career instead of ‘just a job,’ and I’ve met a lot of really awesome people.”

Young was awarded a special parking spot near the entrance of the building.
