Macomb man facing weapon, assault charges after Feb. 1 incident

MACOMB, Ill. — A Macomb man has been charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault after a Feb. 1 incident.
Officers with the Macomb Police Department responded to a large fight in progress with about 30 people involved near the intersection of Pierce and McArthur. As information came forward about the fight, officers learned that Robert H. Murdock, 24, pulled a gun from his fanny pack and pointed it at subjects involved in the fight.
Murdock was later located at his residence and taken into custody. A Glock 19 9mm with ammo and magazines were recovered at his residence. Murdock was transported to the McDonough County Jail and was processed, cited and released per the Illinois SAFE-T Act.
