Quincy Community Theatre announces cast of ‘Jack & Phil: Slayers of Giants, Inc.’

QUINCY — Quincy Community Theatre recently introduced the two talented casts of “Jack & Phil: Slayers of Giants, Inc.,” its 2025 QCT on-the-road production. This modern retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk is packed with wit, adventure and an important message about friendship and self-confidence.
Follow Jack and his best (and only) friend, Phil, as they chase fame and fortune, only to discover that success comes with its challenges. With giants to face and friendships on the line, this story will entertain audiences of all ages.
Ten performers are divided into two casts that will take turns performing the show across the region: Molly Carl and Briana Zanger as Jack, Abigail Dobey and Cecilia Bruening as Phil, Dominic Zanger and Sam Bruening as Bill/Giant, Macy Bates and Baylee Campbell as Barbara, and Addie Baker and Tessa Lawrence as Chas Veritas.
“Jack & Phil: Slayers of Giants, Inc.” is under the direction of education director, Brendan Shea.
“We’re so excited to bring our popular touring show back from hiatus with a hilarious (and timely) take on a classic fairy tale,” Shea said in a press release. “Students see kids their age ‘blow up’ on social media all the time. Jack and Phil ask: What if it happened to you? Would viral success go to your head and change who you are?”
Tour manager Bailey McNamar, scenic designer Harrison Clarke and costume designer Jayden Dreyer round out the production team for this special touring production.
Touring dates for “Jack & Phil: Slayers of Giants, Inc.” are April 7 – May 16. “Jack and Phil: Slayers of Giants, Inc.” is available for daytime performances at area schools, best suited for grades K-5, but can be enjoyed by all. For more information on how to bring Quincy Community Theatre into your schools, visit 1qct.org. Reservations are open now and can be made any time before the end of the touring period.
