Third annual Marion County Walk For Life and pancake and sausage breakfast set for Saturday

PALMYRA, Mo. — The third annual Marion County Walk for Life and pancake and sausage breakfast will be held Saturday, April 26, at the Sesqui Building in Flower City Park.
The breakfast, provided by the Palmyra Knights of Columbus, will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. Free-will donations will be accepted for breakfast, which is open to anyone regardless of whether they are planning to take part in the walk itself.
This year’s Walk for Life is dedicated to the memory of Mary Oberman, who died in October 2024. Oberman was an Options for Women founder, former board of directors member and secretary, nurse and coach. In addition, she would organize and plan the Walk for Life and Banquet for Life events. She helped prepare the meals for those events.
Walk registration and a special warm-up session will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the walk beginning at 9 a.m.
Registration and donations can be made at https://secure.fundeasy.com/ministrysync/event/?e=2939.
People raising $200 or more will receive a free t-shirt. T-shirts may also be bought at the event for $20 per shirt.
Proceeds from the event (both breakfast and walk) will go to support the Options for Women Pregnancy Resource Center, 7A Northport Plaza in Hannibal.
Sponsors for the walk are Iva’s Printing, Cindy O’Laughlin, Priority Physical Rehabilitation, WGCA – 88.5 the Mix, Edward Jones, LS Tax Service and the Knights of Columbus.
