MACOMB, Ill. — The Ambassador Committee of the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting as the City of Macomb proclaimed April 17 as McDonough County Health Department Day in honor of its 50th anniversary of service to the area.

The McDonough County Health Department has been a cornerstone of community well-being, providing vital services such as immunizations, environmental health inspections, emergency preparedness, maternal and child health programs, health education and more.
