Hannibal Regional Auxiliary recognizes Ferrel as Volunteer of the Year

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal Regional Auxiliary held its annual awards banquet April 21 at the Hannibal Country Club.
During the luncheon, Lana Ferrel was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year for 2024. Since joining Hannibal Regional Auxiliary, Lana has given more than 6,000 hours in service to the auxiliary. She volunteers in the gift shop, Judy’s Boutique and during other special events.
An honorary membership was given to Mary Dunaway. Special recognitions were presented to Ellen Stark, Teresa Gentry, June Ann Piper, Linda Lake and Karen Sutor. The auxiliary also presented an Outstanding New Member award to Dawn McKenzie.
The President’s Call to Service Award, given to people who have served at least 4,000 hours, was given to Bob Schreiner.
The Hannibal Regional Auxiliary was formed in 1993 to help patients, families and visitors in a variety of ways and contribute to the community. With more than 230 members, the auxiliary donates more than 16,000 hours of service each year. The auxiliary provides service in several areas such as Judy’s Boutique, the Cary Cancer Center, the Hannibal Children’s Center, reception desks and waiting rooms.
