WCU Tower now rebranded as Tower on Maine as it celebrates 100th anniversary

Tower on Maine

QUINCY — Now 100 years old, the WCU Tower at 510 Maine now has a new name — the Tower of Maine.

Commissioned by the Western Catholic Union and completed in 1925, the building was known as Quincy’s first skyscraper. Its Beaux-Arts architectural design and marble-adorned halls made it a centerpiece of Quincy’s commercial landscape. It has served for decades as headquarters to businesses and the site of many rooftop dances.

“This building has meant so much to Quincy during the last 100 years, and it has certainly meant a great deal to my family,” Lynn Wiewel, owner of the Tower on Maine, said in a press release. “We want to continue its story with a name that reflects where we’re going while still honoring where we’ve been. The Tower on Maine gives us the opportunity to grow into the future while celebrating everything this space has represented.”

The Tower on Maine will celebrating its centennial with a year-long campaign featuring community storytelling, historic highlights, tenant features and an open house in October, coinciding with the Adams County Bicentennial celebration.

The Tower on Maine offers flexible, move-in-ready office suites with all-inclusive pricing —utilities are included with no hidden taxes or fees. The building offers camera surveillance, monitored entry points, on-site staff and optional gated parking.

“We see this building as more than just office space,” said Bailey Ash, property manager for the Tower on Maine. “It’s a community of professionals, entrepreneurs and history lovers. This rebrand gives us the opportunity to bring new energy into the building, welcome more tenants, and position the Tower on Maine as a forward-focused space in the heart of downtown Quincy.”
