Bodley Lodge donates bikes to reward youth readers at Quincy Public Library at summer’s end

QUINCY — Bodley Lodge has presented four bikes and protective helmets to the Quincy Public Library for its summer youth reading program. At the end of the summer, the four youths who read the most books will receive the bikes purchased from Madison & Davis Bicycles of Quincy.
This past year, the Bodley Lodge also presented a check for $20,000 to Chaddock School for restoration of the youth cottages, with the Masonic Lodge providing another $5,000 to the project.
Bodley Lodge provides assistance to Camp Callahan, Clothing for Vets, Smiles for Miles, the Adams County Bicentennial and for scholarships for students from Quincy High School, Quincy Notre Dame and Chaddock.
The Masons is an organization that builds character in individuals, gives to its community, has a strong, belief in God and the development in self-confidence and leadership.
