45 Years: Steve and Joyce Schrage

Steve and Joyce Schrage of Quincy are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary with a family Cardinals baseball weekend later this summer.

The couple was married April 12, 1980 in St. Anthony Catholic Church. Steve is the son of the late George Jr. and Corkie Schrage. Joyce is the daughter of the late Lawrence and Bernice Bockhold. They are the parents of Stephanie (Rob) Hodgson of Liberty, Ill. and Mike (Erin) Schrage of Durham, Mo. They have three grandsons, Dylan and Gabe Schrage, and Everett Hodgson.

Steve was employed by Quincy Township for 35 years, being elected to the office of Quincy Township Supervisor for the last 24 years of his service. Joyce was employed by Gem City Savings, First Bank, First Christian Church and, most recently, Good Samaritan Home, doing secretarial work.

They are members of the Church of St. Peter. Steve is a 40-year member of the Knights of Columbus #583 and Joyce volunteers at Blessing Hospital. She is also involved in ministries at St. Peter.

They enjoy following their grandsons’ activities and spending time with family and friends.
