Amelia “Amy” Eyler Zornes Rhinberger was born on March 3, 1968 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Quincy to her mother, Teresa “Terry” Eyler. Amy passed away on November 15, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Amy married Tony Rhinberger on February 13, 2016. They made their home with her many visions on the Mississippi River. They made many memories with family and friends, especially with the “East Chute Crew”.

Amy had many interests. She was a long-time Dallas Cowboys fan, and she spent many nights around her bonfires. Amy’s happiest place was on their pontoon, “Hot Mess”, with family and friends. She always looked forward to her annual Mexico trip with her close friends, Dave and Erika Prindle.

Amy graduated from Payson Seymour High School in 1986 then pursued her education and graduated from the nursing program at John Wood Community College as an LPN. Amy was a compassionate nurse for over 30 years, and she advocated for those that she took care of and for their families. She worked as a supervisor at Quincy Senior and Family Resources in Quincy until her illness. Her family would like to thank her peers for the kindness and generosity during difficult times, with special thanks to the hospices nurses, Melinda and Carson.

It was Amy’s wish that everyone remember her the way she was before her illness.

Survivors include her husband, Tony Rhinberger; her mother, Terry Zahn; her brother, Tim (Jami) Eyler; her sister, Brenda (Kenny) Vahle; her daughter, Mandi Eyler; four grandchildren: Ayden Eyler, Parker Wells, Eilithyia “Litty”; and Eris “JoJo” Merida; two aunts: Susie Hatfield and Joanie Silman; her father-in-law, Bob Rhinberger; her fur baby, Sophie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Amy was preceded in death by her first husband, Troy Zornes; her daughter, Alissa “Sissy” Dawn Zornes; her brother, Bobby Eyler; her maternal grandmother, Marvel Silman; three aunts: Kathy Crossett, Jan Harms, and Linda Beaston; four uncles: Jim, Joe, and David Silman and Dale Hatfield; three cousins: Wendy Crossett, Kayla Beaston Smith, and Marty Beaston Jr.; two great-nephews: Adaiah Sill and Jacob Kai Daniel; and her mother-in-law, Barb Rhinberger.
