Anna E. Parrick — Hansen-Spear

Anna E. Parrick, age 97, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 9:13 p.m.in Blessing Hospital.

Anna was born on June 14, 1927 in Barry, IL, a daughter of Karl and Juanita Cook Kurtz. On July 19, 1946, she married Richard Parrick in Barry, IL. He preceded her in death in 1990.

Anna was a 1945 graduate of Quincy High School, and she had been employed at Blessing Hospital as a supply manager for over 25 years. In her spare time, Anna was a voracious reader, and she particularly enjoyed mysteries and thrillers.

However, most of her time was spent taking care of her home and of her family who meant the world to her.

Survivors include three children: Pamela (Roland) Burke, Cynthia (Donald) Graham, and Mark Parrick, all of Quincy; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, Anna was preceded in death by her parents; three children: Richard Parrick, Jacqueline McKiernan, and Greg Parrick; and four siblings: Sonny Kurtz, Phyllis Hibbard, Roger Kurtz, and Jerry Kurtz.

Anna was cremated as per her wishes.
