Ashley Otten – Hansen-Spear

Ashley Nichole Otten, age 36, of Quincy, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 12:40 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.
Ashley was born on October 5, 1988 in Quincy, the daughter of Ronnie and Debbie Van Order Hull. On September 22, 2012 she married Kyle Otten in Lutheran Church of St. John in Quincy. He survives.
Ashley was a 2007 graduate of Camp Point Central High School. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Quincy University in 2011, and she received certification in Radiation Technology from Blessing-Reimann College of Nursing and Health Science in 2021.
While she was in college, Ashley spent her summers as a life guard at Spring Lake Country Club. She began her career in sales at Gamemasters and J.C. Penney. Ashley then took a position as a receptionist in the dermatology department at Blessing Hospital. After earning her certification from Blessing-Reimann, Ashley advanced her career as a radiation technician at the same hospital.
Ashley was a devoted soccer mom, and she spent many hours supporting Kyle and their daughter, Felicity, in everything that they did with the Quincy Rush Soccer program.
Ashley was an active member of Lutheran Church of St. John.
In addition to her husband, Kyle, Ashley is survived by her daughter, Felicity Otten; her parents, Ronnie and Debbie Hull of Paloma, IL; three brothers: Scott (Carol) Hull of Quincy; Jamie (Jenna) Hull of Quincy; and Jeff (Mary) Hull of Quincy; her maternal grandmother, Marie Van Order of Timewell, IL; her parents-in-law, Ron and Sheri Otten of Bonham, TX; her sister-in-law, Tiff (Michael) Berke of Watkinsville, GA; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ashley was preceded in death by her grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Service: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Lutheran Church of St. John with Pastor Steve Hayden officiating.
Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, IL
