Bernard C. Weisenburger – Hansen-Spear

Bernard Carl Weisenburger, age 88, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 9:00 pm in Quincy Healthcare and Senior Living.

He was born in October 9, 1936, in Madison, Wisconsin, a son of Edward and Margaret Eroen Weisenburger. He married Sally Berblinger on December 14, 1964 in Payson, Illinois. She survives.

Bernard was a carpenter and owned and operated Hardwood Supply Company in Quincy, Illinois. He enjoyed skeet shooting in West Quincy and hunting quail with his German shorthair pointers.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Sally, include seven children, Bernard “Buddy” (Jacquelyn) Weisenburger, Jr. of Quincy, Marshall Weisenburger of Rockford, IL, Mike (Roni) Weisenburger of Quincy, Gerald “Jerry” (Susan) Weisenburger of Gales Ferry, CT, Gail (Dale) Chapman, Carla (Robert) McLaughlin, and Jerrilin (Richard) Powell; numerous grandchildren including, Josh, Jessica, Caroline, Bernard “Ace” III, Abbey and Molly; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dale Weisenburger, and a sister, Joan Molner.

Visitation: 9:00 to 11:00 am on Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Service: 11:00 am on Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Martin Eden officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
