Betty Ann Van Os, age 93, of Quincy, died on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 5:10 pm in Blessing Hospital.

Betty was born on October 24, 1931 near Jasper, Missouri, a daughter of William Francis and Neva Elizabeth Breen Junk. She married William Adrain Van Os, Sr. on April 17, 1950 in the Providence Baptist Church parsonage in Williamstown, Missouri.

She was a 1949 graduate of Williamstown High School. Betty was a homemaker while her children were in school. She was a nursing assistant and CNA at Blessing Hospital, and she retired as a renal tech.

Betty always dedicated time to read the Bible. She enjoyed embroidery, sewing, and crocheting, and in recent years, she enjoyed sudoku puzzles and coloring. Betty was very active at Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a long time Sunday School teacher and involved with Awana. For many years, Betty would call each church member on their birthday, and she continued this ministry until she was hospitalized.

Survivors include five children, Elizabeth Ann (Mark) St. Clair of Wyconda, MO, Ruth M. Van Os, and William Adrain (Sandra) Van Os, Jr., both of Quincy, June C. (Stephen) Smith of Glenview, IL, and Richard E. (Theresa) Van Os of Montreal, MO; six grandchildren, Leslie A. (Evan) Coonrod, PhD. of Eugene, OR, Joel F. (Adina) Van Os of Wamego, KS, Kevin M. (Ivy) Paul-Van Os, of Sioux City, IA, Stephanie R. (James Christopher) Ellis of Glenview, IL, Kimberly (Mark) Hall of Mt. Prospect, IL, and William F. (Britany) Van Os of Kansas; six great-grandchildren, Gus and Finley Coonrod, Betty and Adriana “AJ” Ellis, and Elijah Paul-Van Os, and Seth Van Os; a brother, Howard Junk of Quincy; a sister-in-law, Barbara Junk of Wright City, MO; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Bill, she was preceded in death by her parents, two great-grandsons, Isaac Paul-Van Os and Haven Van Os, a brother, William Oscar Junk, and two sisters-in-law, Janet Junk, and Wilma C. (John) Roberson; and two brothers-in-law, John M Van Os, in infancy, and Charle E. (Mae) Van Os.

Visitation: 10:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church.

Service: 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. L.D. Grant officiating.

Burial: Kahoka Cemetery, Kahoka, Missouri
