Bonnie Blattner, age 87, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 2:20 a.m. in Blessing Hospital.
Bonnie was born on August 6, 1937 in Augusta, Illinois to Bernard and Dorothy Worman Lansdown. On December 26, 1964 she married Don Blattner. Together they raised two children, Jeff Blattner and Lisa Howerton. Don survives.
A graduate of Quincy Senior High, she attended Western Illinois University and received her Bachelor’s degree from Northeast Missouri State University. After a maternity leave, she taught language arts at Quincy Junior High for 20 years and retired in 1993.
Bonnie loved to travel and she and her husband traveled throughout the United States and took cruises to many foreign countries. She enjoyed reading and spending time with grandchildren. Some of her happiest memories occurred when she and her husband took their grandchildren on vacations in the summer.
