Charlotte F. Craven — Duker & Haugh

Charlotte F. Craven, age 91, of Quincy, died on Friday, July 18, 2025 in her home. She was born on April 14, 1934 in Quincy the daughter of Charles & Elvira (Ording) Heintz. She married Dale W. Craven on August 28, 1954. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2020. Charlotte was a lifelong member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
After raising their 5 children and spending many summers creating wonderful memories for their children at the Lake of the Ozarks—always referred to as “The Lake,” Dale and Charlotte loved to travel. They spent winter months at several different spots in Florida enjoying the sunshine and warmth and having their children and grandchildren join them whenever they were able.
Charlotte was an avid volunteer for St. Mary Hospital and proudly created many of the floral arrangements for the gift shop with her dear friend Margie. They helped create 100’s of floral arrangements for the gift shop. In her later life she helped at Church doing whatever was needed or asked of her. At home, she became a master jigsaw puzzle solver and so enjoyed doing them.
Charlotte is survived by her children: Chuck (Julia) Craven; Chris Craven; Carl Craven; Corey Craven, and Connie Craven. Grandchildren: Melissa Wiseman; Jen (Jamie) Blaesing; Rick (Beth) Craven; Niki (Darren) Winking; Rob Craven; Natalie (Kraig) Genenbacher; Reggie (Michelle) Craven; Rodney Craven; Ryan (Kirstin) Craven; Charlie (Patrick) Craven and Chandler Craven; fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Brother Jim Heintz, M.Afr. and sister: Sister Marie Heintz, MSOLA; and nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her husband, Charlotte was also preceded in death by her parents a sister Joan and a daughter-in-law: Sherrie Craven.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM in St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass at 11:00. Memorials may be made to the Ladies of Charity, St. Peter Catholic School or to Quincy Notre Dame. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
