Christina Ann ‘Chrissi’ Bolte Lowenberg, age 51, of Quincy, passed away at 2:28 AM on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born on August 13, 1973 in Quincy, the daughter of Robert J. & Kathleen ‘Kathy’ (Hummel) Bolte.

Chrissi was married to Brian Simpson and they had two daughters: Hayley and Hannah. She loved her daughters with her whole heart and they were the center of her life. Brian passed away on April 14, 2016.

On October 28, 2023, Chrissi married Jeffrey Lowenberg and he survives.

Chrissi worked at Long John Silvers, at Ben Franklin Crafts, the Good Samaritan Home, Members First Credit Union as a teller and Mark Twain Casino in the security department. She then became a stay at home mom when Hayley was born.

Chrissi had a huge heart, a kind soul, and was known to frequently help others in any way that she could. Chrissi was very creative, artistic, she loved to color and do crafts; especially making things for others. She had a strong religious faith. Chrissi also enjoyed watching cooking shows and sharing recipes with others. Above all, Chrissi loved spending time with her family and would host family get togethers at her home with Jeff.

In addition to her husband and daughters, Chrissi is also survived by her father, Robert J. Bolte of Quincy, her brother Tony (Amanda) Bolte of Macomb, IL; a sister Stephanie Bolte of Quincy and brother Matt (Samantha Patterson) Bolte also of Quincy. Nieces and nephews including Kelsey, Jordan and Brennan Bolte; Parker Doss, and Lucas Bolte, aunts Pamela Hills and Jeannie White, an uncle Roger Bolte along with several cousins also survive.

Chrissi was preceded in death by her mother Kathy Bolte, sister: Jennifer Bolte, her grandparents, a niece Andrea Bolte and several aunts and uncles.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 12:00 noon in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Inurnment in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of the services at noon. Memorials may be made to the family which will be donated to Autism and Cerebral Palsy research. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
