Daniel L. “Dan” Ormond, 66, of Lincoln, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at his home.

Dan was born December 10, 1958, in Quincy, IL, the son of Bernard and Marian (Cramsey) Ormond. He married Toni D. Myers in 1977.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Josh Ormond; sister-in-law, Kathy Ormond; and grandson, Holland Ormond.

Dan was an honorary dismantler by Puget Sound Naval Shipyard due to his recycling and donation efforts for the hungry. He umpired for the IHSA for 20 years, donated platelets for over 15 years, and his favorite and least favorite day of the year was the annual all day golf outing with his brothers, nephews, and friends. He was excited for the day and then hated having to wait a whole year for the next outing.

Visitation will take place the night prior, Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm also at the church. Burial will follow the services at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dan’s name to Harvest of Talents at Lincoln Christian Church, The American Red Cross, or Lincoln Christian University. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
