Donna Mae Curley – Hansen-Spear

Donna Mae Curley, age 74, of Quincy, died on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. in her home.

Donna was born on August 27, 1950 in Quincy, a daughter of Donald and Mary Frame Powell. On April 30, 1976 she married Edward Curley Jr. in Palmyra, MO. He survives.

Donna was a devoted homemaker who cherished her role in caring for her family. She found joy in simple moments, whether it was watching movies together or sharing laughter around the dinner table. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes, especially when it came to selecting thoughtful gifts for her loved ones, always seeking to brighten their days with a special surprise. Her love for her family was evident in every gesture, big and small.

In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by two daughter: Tina Marie Cain and Terri Cain, both of Quincy; six grandchildren: Sam (Valerie) Cain of Quincy; Drekel (Grace) Osborne of Lewistown, MO; Latterace Cain, Taylor Cain, Logan Cain, and Emma Cain, all of Quincy; nine great-grandchildren: Macen (Madi) Mittchel, Varena Cain, Raden Pearson, Valen Cain; Camden, Willa Jean, Cruz, and Wade Osborne; and Marcella Cain; four siblings: Donnie Powell of Peoria, IL, Terry (Beth) Powell of Quincy, Cherry Powell of Quincy, and Kathy Stead of Peoria, IL; a cousin, Billie Heck of Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Cain; and a brother, Alfred Powell.

Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Service: 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Schluckebier officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, IL
