Dusty Allen Lish — Duker & Haugh

Dusty Allen Lish 59, of Hannibal, MO went to be with our Lord on May 9, 2025 after a brief illness at Hannibal Regional Hospital. He was the beloved son of Floyd M Lish and Jane V McSparren born in Quincy, IL. He was a graduate of Mendon High School, before joining the US Navy on May 26,1987. He served as an aviation structural engineer attaining the
rank of E-3. He served on the USS IWO JIMA during the Gulf Wars: Desert Storm/Desert Shield. During this time he was awarded the SW Asia Campaign Medal, National Defense Medal, Desert Storm/Desert Shield medal. Dusty was discharged May 25, 1991.
Dusty was an avid hunter and outdoorsman a passion he shared with his Dad. The family were past members of the Wenois Field Archers. He enjoyed refinishing furniture, gardening, and enjoyed the company of his cats. He also worked construction and doing renovations with his Dad for a number of years. Most recently he worked for ACE Hardware in Palmyra, MO.
Dusty is survived by his mother Jane of Hannibal, MO and three sisters: Debra (William) Greving Camp Point, IL, Dotty (Curtis) Moore Clayton, IL, Dawne (Steve) Kennedy Jacksonville, NC. Nieces Laura (Lee) Bowles, Chelsie (Travis) Camper, Kimberly (Phil) Renaldo. Nephews Jacob (Valerie) Greving, Joshua (Traci) Moore. One great niece and 4 great nephews, Aunts and Uncles and several cousins. Dusty was preceded in death by His father Floyd and step mother Sue Lish, step father Bob McSparren, Niece Amber Greving Fafoglia, great nephew Logan Moore, his grandparent Joseph & Ada Lish, and WW & Bertha Hartzell. Longtime companion of 27 years Patricia McGlaughlin.
A graveside service at the will be held at Sunset Cemetery of the Illinois Veterans Home at 10:00 am on Thursday May 15, 2025 with military honors conducted by the American Legion Post #37 Honor Detail and the United States Navy Honor Detail. Memorials can be made to the Disabled Veterans or to the charity of the donor’s choice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
