Funeral services for Francis Eugene “Gene” Peak, 85, of Laddonia, will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Laddonia Christian Church, with Pastor Bill Maupin officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Laddonia Cemetery.
  Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday, March 18, 2024, at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Laddonia.
  Mr. Peak passed away at 4:06 P.M., Thursday, March 14, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
  Gene was born on January 8, 1939, in Laddonia, the son of Gene and Grace Freyer Peak.
  He married Loretta Faye Hawkins on March 31, 1968, in Laddonia and she survives.
  Other survivors include two sons; Phillip (Deanna) Peak of Wellsville and Paul (Desiree) Peak of Wellsville, one daughter; Shari Love of St. Charles, eleven grandchildren; Jacob (Sydney) Peak, Lucas Peak, Kaleb Peak, Christopher (Savannah) Brookman, Emily (Austin) Boes, Erin Peak (Josh Christian), Danielle Love, Micaella Love (Jacob Johnson), Alexis Hummel, Bethany Regot, and Morgan Regot, and nine great grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
  Gene was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather; Fred Johnsten, one brother; Charles Peak, and one stepsister and brother-in-law; Don & Deloris Waller.
  Mr. Peak was a lifetime area resident, a member of the Laddonia Christian Church, the Martinsburg American Legion Post 552, and the Young Farmers. Gene was a lifelong farmer, who enjoyed hunting and traveling. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
  Pallbearers will be Jacob Peak, Lucas Peak, Kaleb Peak, Morgan Regot, Christopher Brookman, and Jay Freyer.
  Honorary pallbearers will be John Cauthorn, Marty Freyer, John Freyer, and Jason Howald.
  Memorial contributions may be made to Martinsburg American Legion Post 552 or Laddonia Christian Church, in care of Bienhoff Funeral Home, P.O. Box 6, Laddonia, Missouri 63352.
